WESTERLEY CYCLING CLUB

The West London and Chilterns cycling club

Based in West London, we are a welcoming and supportive community club, organising rides, races, training and trips for all.

The Westerley has a long history stretching back to our formation in 1924 and was instrumental in establishing Time Trialling in West London. We now offer a broad range of activities for the community – from club rides with a relaxed ‘come and try it’ attitude, reliability rides, cycling trips to iconic events and locations, through to formal open Time Trial events and Virtual Reality races and TTTs. We also organise the highly successful Wednesday evening TT events at Hillingdon circuit using transponders to time riders.

Our members take part in a wide range of cycling activities locally and internationally, including road races, audaxes, cyclo-cross, and virtual reality racing. Beyond the camaraderie of others, members benefit from a wealth of experience that is available, as well as more formal coaching for those wanting to get fitter, faster or ride longer.

We strive to build a good community spirit with social events thoughout the year.

Our members are spread from Ealing, Acton, Ruislip, Uxbridge, Northolt, and out as far as the Chalfonts and Buckinghamshire. With members of all backgrounds and styles we welcome anyone joining us for a ride.

If you’d like to come along to meet us, just drop us a line to say hello! Or, of course just turn up for one of our club rides on Sunday mornings at 8:30 starting from Costa’s at Greenford crossroad!
