Tom Webster writes: On the last Sunday of the Autumn I ushered in change of seasons by competing in the ‘Gorrick Halloween XC Classic’ at Highlands Farm in Surrey.Racing in the ‘Vet Plus’ category it was four laps of interesting twisty singletrack. It was raining, but fortunately the wooded course didn’t turn into a mud bath. I managed to not come last or crash, I even managed to smile for a photo and not get lapped by the winner (just).
All in all a great day out, and recommended. A bit of MTB riding is great for honing the bike handling skills.
