Sunday morning club rides start from Costa’s Greenford, on the Ruislip road, at 8.30am. However, check the website and the WhatsApp group, as occasionally rides to events or the longer routes may have earlier departure times. We average 25 – 28 km/h, but have a ‘no drop’ policy so don’t leave people behind, and run different groups at different paces dependent on who is up for a ride.
Our routes take three main directions – South towards Box Hill, West towards Windsor and Marlow, or Northwest towards Great Missenden. Christmas sometimes finds us exploring central London. Distances vary. In the colder months they are generally 60 to 80km in length. When it’s warmer we go longer – between 80 and 110km, with the odd 200km ride for fun. Given we have the Chilterns nearby there are plenty of lumps to keep things interesting.
