This year’s ride was more of a drizzler than a sizzler, so it wasn’t too surprising that quite a few people opted to stay in bed!

Despite a sunny start, the temperatures didn’t rise to the forecast levels. And the forecast rain in the afternoon was a bit heavier than expected. 

Congratulations to those who did make it round, despite the disappointing weather.  In particular, to Aiden Brassil – the youngest finisher, who completed the long route as his first 100 mile ride!  And to Anthony Brassil, Vincent Ng and Jonathan Martin, who also made it round the long route.

As ever, some people opted to do a different route on the day and others cut short to avoid the rain or went straight home.
