The 2020s started with the COVID19 pandemic which forced most events across the UK, and beyond, to be cancelled. However, not to be thwarted Westerley CC created the club’s first ever virtual computerracing for people with suitable ‘smart trainers’ at home. The 2020 season saw David Buckley and Christine Meek take the trophies for best online riders. As outdor riding rules were relaxed later in the year, the club introduced the monthly ‘Challenge Rider of the Month award. The very first month was a dead heat between Rob Bennett and Ian Nguru.
