AFTER THREE EVENTS AND THE RETURN OF CLUB RIDES, THINGS ARE HOTTING UP IN THE GREAT ALL-ROUNDER TROPHY

Please note that now club rides are back, solo rides on the same route will not count, you need to be in the group ride from the Polish War Memorial at 8.30am on Sunday mornings.
Here is the full list of events and ways to score points:
The award runs from 1st November 2020 to 31 October 2021 and points can be scored as follows:
Sunday Club Runs:
10 points if you take part in ten or more Westerley CC Sunday Clubs Runs (usually from the Polish War Memorial 8.30am).
Virtual Open 10 on RGT (Saturday 27th March)
10 points for the winner, down to 1 point for 10th place.
Spring Crit Races at Hillingdon (Saturday 24th April)
10 points for the winner, down to 1 point for 10th place awarded in each of the 3 races.
200km Audax (Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May Ruislip)
10 points
West London Combine 50 (Sunday 6th June Great Missenden)
10 points for the winner, down to 1 point for 10th place.
London-Brighton-London (Sunday 13th June)
5 points if you ride in one direction, 10 points if you ride there and back.
Westerley CC Sociable 10 (Sunday 18th July Great Missenden)
10 points for the winner, down to 1 point for 10th place. This is a handicap Time Trial, so everyone has a chance!
Westerley CC Hill Cimb (Sunday 10th October Windsor Hill near Wooburn Green)
10 points for the winner, down to 1 point for 10th place.
So, if you’ve done a few club runs between 1st November and now you may already be on course for your first 10 points. Add in London Brighton and the Audax and you may not need be the quickest in the Time Trials and Hill Climb! The faster riders will need to rank highly in events if they don’t clock up Sunday rides ….it’s all to play for, and with the Sociable being a handicap event, this could end up being very tight. Start planning your strategy now!
