The Chilterns are one of the best places for riding in the south east, and as a bit of an undiscovered gem, at Westerley we like to show off our favourite routes, so we’ve put together a series of DIY audaxes that you can use to try out some of our best rides.

We have a series of DIY Audax routes designed to enable local riders to score AAA  points (Audax Altitude Award) in the Chiltern Hills. These rides can count towards Audax UK’s AAA awards and, with the exception of the Chilternham Holtspur, the Grimpeur de Sud award.

Chiltern Churner 220km – 3.00 AAA points

Starting in Ruislip, this ride zig zags to capture the climbs. The worst of the climbing is over by around 160kms and the route reaches out to Berkhamsted, Stokenchurch, Wycombe, Amersham, Beaconsfield and Maidenhead. So you are never too far from home if you need to return!
